Bill Lackey

Bill D. Lackey, ALHMS, MCNE has worked with homeowners, business owners and investors throughout his real estate career and counsels clients step-by-step, from the early stages of the buying and selling process all the way through the closing and afterward, to ensure that they can anticipate what is expected of them as principals and he, as their Realtor, is obligated and committed to perform. A licensed Texas Real Estate Broker since 1988, he has the experience that homebuyers and sellers should demand in today's business environment.

• Bill has completed training to build skills in the marketing of Luxury and Estate Homes and has earned the title of Accredited Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (ALHMS).
• Bill does his “home work,” thoroughly analyzes market data and conveys those findings to his clients. He is careful not to promise what is not in the realm of possibility and believes strongly in the importance of remaining flexible.
• This means being able to learn new things and change with the times, a philosophy that Bill embraces wholeheartedly. This is evidenced by his well rounded background which includes 9 years experience at Certified Business Brokers, Houston, Texas. As a Business Broker, he worked with owners in the appraisal, divestiture and acquisition of closely held businesses in retail, distributing, manufacturing, and service industries. He holds a Residential Mortgage Loan Originator's license with the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending. With more than 24 years experience as a Residential Mortgage Loan Originator.
• Bill's primary interests are focused around helping his clients in the divestiture and acquisition of residential real estate. Bill also has extensive knowledge of every aspect of homebuilding and quality construction. A decided plus for his clients, he recently utilized these skills for himself when he acted as the General Contractor for construction of his own family home in Spring Valley Village.
• Although he helps clients buy and sell property throughout the Greater Houston area, he focuses much of his attention to neighborhoods in the Memorial area, Spring Branch and west Houston.
• To round-out the many facets of real estate services, Bill has software that enables him to find off-market vacant land and lots throughout Texas that are not available to the public, which is a specialty within itself.
• Bill has completed intensive training and is a Master Certified Negotiation Expert (MCNE).

On a personal level, Bill stays very involved in the community and active in professional organizations. A few of his relationships have come from organizations such as The Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA), State Securities Commission, Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending, Houston Association of Realtors (HAR), Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB), Toastmasters International, Boy Scout Leader Troop #673 Chaplain, St. Cecilia Catholic Church volunteer and has served 17 years as its Oktoberfest cooking team captain, Member Knights of Columbus Council 13357 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Born and raised in Kerrville, Texas, Bill has been a resident of Houston since 1980. He is married and the father of a 38 year-old son and a 36 year-old daughter.

Bill has added the 1031 Tax Deferred Property Exchange program as an area of specialty for investors who desire to redeploy money that would have gone to pay capital gain taxes on the sale of investment property.
